Well my wife and I took on a hike that will not be soon forgotten, 26 kilometers was the length and it was located at Farewell Canyon just 1 hour west from Williams Lake. The day started out with sunshine and throughout the day we endured all different kinds of weather. Rain, snow, sleet, hail and high winds. Yet it was still a blast. The beginning of this hike we actually started out off trail and this is when we found 4 mule deer antler sheds. Speaking of which, Jetson (my dog), brought the first one right to our feet. As we kept on walking we spooked up 3 mule deer, and watched them as they went from being alerted from our presence to gradually calming down some and continuing along their way.
The view we overlooked, of the Chilcotin river running into the Fraser river, as we had lunch, was breathtaking. This country is some of my favorite country to explore, especially in the spring because in this area of B.C. the snow melts first on the open grass lands such as this.
